Release Your Greatest

February 2019, Philadelphia, PA

Before entering the small, softly lit space, the viewer was instructed

to answer one of three questions, write their answer on a small piece of paper and tie it up as small as they could. Upon entering the space, they had the opportunity to attach their answer to any of the hanging pieces of finger knitting. By instructing the viewer to write their greatest joy, fear, or stressor I hoped to incite a feeling of release and freedom, through embracing the act of letting go. All who participated in the installation were connected to each other through this finger knitted web.
